INTERCESSORY PRAYER by Dutch Sheets

I was disappointed! I was disappointed because I had purchased this book when it was first published about 10 years ago and aside from the book cover and back it is the same. I am a fan of books by Dutch Sheets and when the opportunity arose to review his book, INTERCESSORY PRAYER How God Can Use Your Prayers To Move Heaven And Earth, I jumped at the chance. Note to self: Check your books before agreeing to review a Dutch Sheets book.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER by Dutch Sheets is a book about praying. (I recently wrote a book on prayer and believe me not everyone prays when they get on their knees.) The reason I like books by Dutch Sheets is because he breaks down the process and helps the reader understand the significance of an action. What I like about INTERCESSORY PRAYER is the author discusses the concept of praying for and praying on behalf of; we pray for a particular need of an individual and we pray on behalf of a particular person or group of people. With this book intercessors, one who prays on behalf of or prays for, understands the concepts of praying.

People who are accustomed to praying: “God bless: mom, dad, me and these three” type of prayers may not enjoy reading this book; it will challenge the way you pray.

There is nothing I could write to convince a person who is already on a prayer team, believes his prayer are good or an individual who does not see the need for intercession. HOWEVER I recommend this book for EVERYONE.

What you will find in INTERCESSORY PRAYER How God Can Use Your Prayers To Move Heaven And Earth is a study on prayer which includes questions at the end of each chapter. You will develop an understanding as to why certain concepts such as spiritual warfare are important to understand and personal repentance are necessary.

I challenge you to read this book. This book is a very important read today which is why it was necessary to release it again.
